Gemstone

Throughout the ages, the gemstones have been seen as representations of wealth and power. Symbols of supremacy like crowns and richly decorated clothes and robes have traditionally been adorned with jewels. But gemstones are not just for the wealthy or scientifically minded researcher. But these can be appreciated by common man also just to enjoy the beauty of these gems. The gemstones appeal initially due to their mysterious appeal, luster and their colour. This makes them exquisite but their rarity, hardness and durability makes them doubly valuable. Gemstones are minerals. Out of a total of more than 2500 different minerals, only about 60 odd are commonly used as gemstones. Other minerals are unsuitable as gems because they are too soft and get scratched easily.

Palmistry

The science of chiromancy or palmistry originated before Christianity itself. The esteemed scientists and philosophers such as Aristotle, Pliny, Anaxagoras, Hispanus, Cardamis and Emperor Augustus all agreed to this fascinating discipline of Palmistry.
The Bible itself speaks of the markings in one's hand in the book of Job as:"God placed signs or seals in the hands of men, that all men might know their works., and there is always the timeless knowledge that God and nature make nothing in vain." For some time this knowledge of palmistry was left to quacks and novices .The Hindus, the Greeks, the Christians and many other learned cultures embraced this science of Palmistry.

Palmistry
Palmistry is a method of counselling that originated in India over 3,000 years ago. It is a part of a vast field of study, referred to as Samudrik Shastra, which literally means the ocean of knowledge. Palmistry is a sub-section of this vast knowledge and deals specifically with the study of the hand and the imprints therein.
Palmistry - fortune-telling?
Palmistry is not foretelling. The original intent of palmistry was for personality assessment and counselling. One's emotional tendencies, social attitudes, conscious awareness and subconscious fears, blockages and strengths can be understood in great detail through this in-depth system which analyses the hand and the markings it carry.Though these days it is used to predict the future of an individual, palmistry does well with the personality assessment task.

what is tatoo?

tat·toos

1. A permanent mark or design made on the skin by a process of pricking and ingraining an indelible pigment or by raising scars.

2. A design made on the skin with a temporary dye such as henna or ink.

tr.v. tat·tooed, tat·too·ing, tat·toos

1. To mark (the skin) with a tattoo.

2. To form (a tattoo) on the skin.

A tattoo is a permanent marking made by inserting ink into the layers of skin to change the pigment for decorative or other reasons. Tattoos on humans are a type of decorative body modification, while tattoos on animals are most commonly used for identification or branding.

Tattooing has been practiced worldwide. The Ainu, the indigenous people of Japan, traditionally wore facial tattoos. Today one can find Berbers of Tamazgha and Maori of New Zealand with facial tattoos. Tattooing was widespread among Polynesian peoples and among certain tribal groups in the Philippines, Borneo, Mentawai Islands, Africa, North America, South America, Mesoamerica, Europe, Japan, Cambodia, New Zealand and China. Despite some taboos surrounding tattooing, the art continues to be popular in many parts of the world.

History

A tattoo on the right arm of a Scythian chieftain, whose mummy was discovered at Pazyryk, RussiaTattooing has been a Eurasian practice at least since Neolithic times. Ötzi the Iceman, dating from the fourth to fifth millennium BC, was found in the Ötz valley in the Alps and had approximately 57 carbon tattoos consisting of simple dots and lines on his lower spine, behind his left knee, and on his right ankle. Other mummies bearing tattoos and dating from the end of the second millennium BC have been discovered at Pazyryk on the Ukok Plateau. Tattooing in Japan is thought to go back to the Paleolithic era, some ten thousand years ago. Various other cultures have had their own tattoo traditions, ranging from rubbing cuts and other wounds with ashes, to hand-pricking the skin to insert dyes.

Tattoos are created by inserting colored materials inside the skin's surface. The first tattoos probably were created by an accident. Someone had a small wound, and rubbed it with soot and ashes from a fire. Once the wound had healed, they saw that a mark stayed permanently
