Concrete check list before pouring beam/slab/column

1)      Check for slabs/Beam/Column
a.       Check the Beam/slab level in all direction.
b.      Shuttering surface must be sufficiently oiled.
c.       Distance between jacks (Profs) must be 1m not more than 1.2m.
d.      Joints should be covered by masking tape to avoid leakage of slurry.
2)      Check for Rebar
a.       Rebar should be as per as structural drawings.
b.      Dia. Of bars, crank length, size of beam, extra bar should be checked.
c.       Sufficient lap length should be provided in slab/beam as per drawings or IS456 code.
d.      Cross bars or concealed beam should be provided at duct or opening in slab.
e.      Alignment of beam rebar should be checked.
f.        Reinforcement in beam should be in centre position.

g.       Necessary cover should be provided in slab/beams/columns as per IS code.
h.      Concrete chairs of min 12 mm dia. Bars should be used.
i.         Check for spacing as per drawings or IS codes.
3)      Check for electrical
a.       Electrical points should be as per electrical drawings.
b.      At joints it should be properly insulated by tape.
c.       Good quality of pipes & fittings should be used.
4)      Check for Plumbing /Sanitary
a.        Plumbing/sanitary points should be as per plumbing/sanitary drawings.
b.      At joints it should be properly insulated by glue and tape.
c.       Good quality of pipes & fittings should be used.
